THE DISSONANT CITY

2022 / school project

In popular Brussel culture, calling someone “architect” is an insult. This was due to the trauma the people of Brussels experienced when architects with their careless architectural plans came to redesign the city. This event even brought the word ‘Brusselization’ to life, which describes the haphazard urban (re-)development.
I designed a website, where people can see collage images of the simulational views in Brussels’ North Quarter district. This simulation is calculated based on the distance from the observation point and building height data. If you click one of the arrows on the left side of the webpage, the simulational image to be observed from this point will be shown.
